We are committed to continuing education … which is good for us and great for you!

Corina Ngatuere

Corina Ngatuere, goes by the nickname Reen(s)

On graduating from the Auckland University of Technology, Corina moved to Queenstown in 2002. Inspired by those she was surrounded by and those she treated she soon developed a strong interest in evidence based manual therapy, orthopaedics, and rehabilitation.

This combined with her love of netball and snowboarding led her on to completing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine and then her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy through Otago University. Corina spends her time split between Invercargill and Queenstown as she is the Lead Physiotherapist of the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel Netball Team and is Queenstown’s sole Accredited Provider for High Performance Sports New Zealand.

Corina believes that physiotherapists can play a significant role in injury prevention and is currently working with Duncan Reid, AUT, on a research project of her own.

Andrew Ralph

Andy has been practicing physiotherapy consistently for 32 years in New Zealand Australia and the US. Most recently as Clinical Leader of a 4 member multidisciplinary team in the Orthopaedic/Neurosurgical  Physiotherapy Screening Clinic at Mackay Base Hospital.

Here he was working closely with the Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery departments to triage and conservatively case manage appropriate patients – promoting timely management, preventing unnecessary waits on inappropriate waiting lists,  improving conversion rates to and outcomes after surgery.

He has seen how well this model of care works and one of his goals is to provide a similar service in Queenstown. He is liasing with community and national programs and Southern District Health Board to try and secure funding for the Queenstown Southern Lakes community to provide support for those suffering from chronic musculoskeletal and pain conditions and provide community based education and activity programs.

Continually educating himself, Andy has undertaken:

  • a Post Graduate Diploma in Kinesiology
  • Papers in exercise physiology, biomechanics and motor learning through the faculty of Physical Education at Otago University, NZ.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy as the first half of a Masters of Health Science at Auckland Institute of Technology, NZ.
  • A Certificate in Biomedical Ethics at Portland State University, USA.
  • He is a credentialed McKenzie therapist through the McKenzie Institute, NZ
  • Certificate in Radiology for Physiotherapists, at University of Melbourne.
  • Certificate in health change methodology through health change Australia assessing and helping clients to engage in the process of change behaviour to ensure they are informed motivated and confident to self manage their personal health care

He travelled internationally as the Team Physiotherapist with the New Zealand Swimming Team and the New Zealand World Student Games Teams from 1987 till 1991.

Pip Lane

Pip has 32 years of experience as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, most of this time spent working in the Queenstown community. She has postgraduate qualifications in manipulative therapy and values the importance of a thorough diagnosis and personalised patient care.

Pip’s special interests include biomechanics, muscle balance, postural alignment and the treatment of persistent pain. Recently, she has spent 2 years working as a physiotherapist in a Multidisciplinary Persistent Pain Clinic in Australia. During this time, she gained extensive knowledge and experience working with people who suffer with long term pain. A different approach is required which involves a Bio-Psycho-Social model of management.

Pip has a deep interest in the management of chronic pain and she looks forward to helping members of the Queenstown community who suffer from pain that just won’t go away!

Kylie Mckenzie

Kylie is an ACC registered Acupuncturist who graduated from Otago University with a BSc in Physiology, then closely followed this with a Bachelor in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Univeristy of Technology Sydney.

Following work in Havelock North, Kylie moved to Queenstown in 2002 to open her own clinic within a local medical centre. For eight years Kylie treated and developed an interest in musculo-skeletal injuries and pain.

Along side these interests developed a passion for womens health. Now back from having her own two daughters, Kylie runs a clinic within Move Physio treating as well as injuries, pregnancy related disorders, infertilty and general womens health.
